Music Seen

Harold Sherrick and Asa Moore

backSPACE, October 12 – November 6, 2013

About the Show

In Music Seen we showcase two rock photographers who represent the duality of the photographic genre. Harold Sherrick representing the classic historical lens over many years, eclectically documenting a range of well known acts from early sixties, seventies, eighties to the alternative sounds of modern times, to the key incomparable contemporary lens of Asa Moore, who is shooting the hottest acts of today. The expanse of work shown collectively documents the uncanny ability that these two artists share in the essential ability to document the connection the audience feels with the performer.

Exhibition curated by Christina Franco Long and Rocio Medina.

Exhibition photographs by Jennilee Kinnunen Phillips.
